The seminar “e-Estonia – explore the most advanced digital society” at Oslo Innovation Week provided first-hand information from both Norwegian and Estonian experts in innovation, e-governance, e-health and cyber security from public and private sectors. The seminar focused on innovation and new solutions that are shaping the future of governance and business in Estonia, Norway and beyond. The seminar speakers included experts from Norway and Estonia who showcased best practices from both private and public sector. The digital agency Thorgate and start up company GlobalReader made a presentation, where they encouraged Norwegians to be smarter in planning, manufacturing and quality control.
“We received a very warm welcome, because we talked about saving time and money thanks to smart machines. In one case, we made an example of a digital product that increased our sales by 59 per cent compared to the industry average. In the second case, we talked about software that helps to save 95 percent of the labor cost what goes to quality control, “said Thorgate Technology Manager Virgo Riispapp.
“Time is the most expensive asset – and we have helped companies make the most of it. We have installed our Smart Production monitoring devices more than 100 customers in the past two years, and now we have the energy to help the Norwegians be even more effective, “commented Indrek Jaal, Founder and CEO of GlobalReader. “We were very happy to start a partnership with Thorgate and also come together on the Oslo Innovation Day, because our principles are very much the same – we both want to give people more time using smart devices, so that they can engage in more valuable and creative activities.
